The Ghana Police Service has announced the arrest of one more suspect in connection with the “alleged premeditated” murder of a Kotoko supporter.
She has been identified as Elizabeth Akosua Ntiriwaa also known as Akosua Black Chinese
Unconfirmed reports suggest that this suspect was planted at the exit side of the stadium gate to identify the deceased to be targeted by a hitman.
The unfortunate incident happened after a football match between Nsoatreman FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC on 2nd February, 2025.
Eyewitnesses say the deceased was stubbed in the chest when supporters were on their way out of the stadium.
Several videos circulating on social media showed pockets of multiple altercation( between some supporters of both sides with the deceased Nana Pooley) at the center of the controversy.
Ms. Elizabeth, in addition to other suspects totaling six are all in Police custody assisting with investigation.
The Ghana Police Service has assured the public of swift investigation to bring all perpetrators connected to the incident to justice.
