Mr. Kwami Sefa Kayi, affectionately called Chairman General and host of Peace Fm’s political morning show “Kokrokoo” has requested for the return of NDC communicators to the show.
Speaking on the morning show in a telephone interview from and undisclosed location, the show host appealed passionately to the now ruling party to return.
He apologized and took full responsibility for the fallout and the strained relationship between the media house and the political party.
The NDC boycotted the morning show five years ago. The reason stated for their decision was mainly due to what they termed “unfair treatment” meted out to them by the show host. At the center of the fallout is an alleged disrespect to their Sammy Gyamfi, then National Communications Officer of the party.
Part of the NDC’s statement for boycotting the show back in 2020 stated: “This decision has been occasioned by the unfair paneling system that the production team of that program has continuously foisted on the NDC over a number of months”
The ruling NDC government and political party is yet to respond to Chairman General’s plea.
