Afua Asantewaa has ended her sing-a-thon challenge by an individual completing a total of 121 hours and 39 minutes.
Afua attempted the first challenge in 2023 but was unable to break the record time of 105 hours set by and Indian named Sunil Waghmare.
In December 2024, she began another marathon unperturbed by the disappointment last year.
This year’s challenge began on the 21st December and ended on the 25th of December 2024. Unlike last year where the event was held in Accra, this year, Afua and her team took the challenge to Kumasi.
After the competition, she thanked all supporters and fans who supported her in divers ways.
She thanked her team as well and the numerous sponsors for the support given her.
Afua Asantewaa and her team will submit the evidence to GWR for assessment and verify whether she was able to make the time to be crowned the new Guinness World Record holder for the longest singing challenge by an individual.
