The Ghana Police Service has released a statement affirming that it has restored calm, law and order at Nkwantana and its Environs in the Oti Region. Unfortunately, the chaos that erupted in that region has resulted in the deaths of five persons and five other persons sustaining various levels of injuries. The chaos also resulted in the destruction of eight buildings and one shop. The Police Service has assured the public that it is working together with the military to restore peace and order in the Oti Region.

The Ghana health service is alerting the public of a respiratory disease in China. The Health service acknowledged the name of the disease as Human Metapneumovirus (hMPV). Additional information however is that this is not a new virus like COVID-19. The Ghana Health Service in a bid to put high surveillance on the virus conducts pathogens tests on samples from respiratory sites located across all 16 regions. The Trade Union Congress (GHANA) has issued a statement condemning attacks on some public sector workers. In the statement, the Union also mentioned vicious destruction to state properties and manhandling of well-meaning Ghanaians in their offices and residences by so called "party foot soldiers".
