After Ebi Bright lost her seat due to the re-collation exercise for 9 constituencies, Baba Sadiq is the new member of the NDC to lose the contest.
The entrepreneur and entertainment mogul was earlier declared winner of the Okaioi Central constituency. From the January 7th general election Sadiq got 15,383 votes against Patrick Boamah’s 14,949 votes.
With these results, the entrepreneur was fully assured of representing his constituency members in parliament.
This made majority of the members in the Ghanaian entertainment fraternity very delighted.
On 21st December however, the court sanctioned re-collation exercise has produced Mr. Patrick Boamah as winner and MP elect. The incumbent MP for Okaikoi Central secured 21,099 whiles Baba Sadiq secured 19,368 votes.
With these results, the EC has declared Patrick Boamah as the winner and MP elect for the Okakoi Central constituency.
Baba Sadiq however, has called the EC fraudulent and working to favor the NPP.
