Police Arrest Two Suspects in Connection with Asankrangwa Murder
TARKWA, Western Central Region Police Arrest– In a swift response to a violent crime, the Western Central Regional Police Command has arrested two individuals directly connected to the brutal murder of a 20-year-old man.
The fatal stabbing incident occurred on Sunday, August 17, 2025, within the Asankrangwa Education Area. Consequently, police investigators immediately launched a manhunt for the perpetrators.

According to preliminary police reports, the attack was not random. Instead, it stemmed from a prior misunderstanding between the deceased victim and one of the suspects, identified as Kwasi Opong. Subsequently, a group that included the two arrested suspects chased down the young man and allegedly stabbed him multiple times.
The Suspects Arrested in the Case
Following a rapid investigation, police officers successfully apprehended the two primary suspects. The individuals now in custody are Kwasi Opong, 36, and William Francis Osei, 23. Both men are currently assisting the police with the ongoing investigation.
