Samuel Nartey George, the Minister for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovation, announced the penalty on August 15, stating that the fines will continue until MultiChoice complies with the National Communications Authority’s (NCA) directive.

Minister Samuel Nartey George explained that under the Electronic Communications Act, companies that ignore regulatory requests face financial penalties. “In good faith, I waived the fine from the 5th till yesterday when I met the management again, and they still had not submitted the requested information,” he stated.
