Press Release-DVLA Releases 2025 DV Plate With Enhanced Security

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has released 2025 DV plate to all its operational offices across the country.

The Licensing Authority further stated that the DV plates are enhanced with security features to prevent counterfeiting and ensure the authenticity of the plate.

Among the security features are holograms, watermarks, QR codes and others.

In a statement, Julius Neequaye Kotey, Chief Executive of the Authority said “We are excited to introduce the 2025 DV plate, which represents a significant improvement in vehicle registration and licensing in Ghana. The new plate demonstrates the Authority’s commitment to leverage on technology to enhance security and convenience for its customers”.

The new plate will be available form 30th January 2025 in all DVLA offices nationwide.

DVLA says it is working with MTTD of the Ghana Police Service to apprehend anybody who uses or engages in the trade of counterfeit DV plate.
