The canker of last minute appointments, promotions and payments have plagued outgoing government’s to the displeasure of incoming ones.

Same happened during the 2020 transition period when the NDC government was leaving power

It appears Ghana is back to the same episode or having an rendezvous.

Fatima’s claim of no such agreement might have been sparked by Mr. Felix Kwakye re-echoing President Mahama’s words of cancelling “last minute appointments”

The minister of information said in an interview to JoyNew’s PM Express “The fact is that the work of the transition team does not put an embargo on government business and does not oust the authority of the legitimate government that will end on midnight of January 7. There was no agreement to halt the recruitment or payments by the government,”

The two spokespersons of both transition teams have disagreed on what the common consensus was.
