6th June 2025 Declared Public Holiday To Commemorate Eid-Ul-Adha

The Ministry for the Interior has announced that Friday, 6th June 2025, will be observed as a statutory public holiday in commemoration of Eid-Ul-Adha.

This important Islamic festival, also known as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” is a time for prayer, charity, and family gatherings. The public is reminded that all government offices, businesses, and institutions are expected to remain closed in observance of the holiday, while citizens are encouraged to celebrate in peace and unity.

The statement was officially signed by Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak (MP), and Minister for Interior, reaffirming government’s recognition of the occasion.

The public is urged to take note of the holiday arrangements and to join the Muslim community in marking this significant day with reverence and joy.

The government extends warm wishes to all citizens for a blessed and peaceful Eid-Ul-Adha celebration.
